Similar to 2011, the Fly-In Airmanship Competition will be held on Saturday morning at Deer Park Airport, a short hop north-west of Felts Field. This year's potpourri of pilot prowess consists of a flour-bombing and a spot landing competition.
Pilots must attend a MANDATORY pilot briefing before departing Felts for Deer Park. This briefing will be held shortly after breakfast.
More information will be posted when it becomes available.
Field elevation is 1957'
Runway 22L - 4R is the designated runway for our fly-in, with traffic patterns south of the airport at 3,000 ft. MSL. Runway 22R - 4L is available if necessary, however, ATC has requested that we operate off of the south runway.
Runway 22L - 4R is 2,650 feet in length, 75 feet in width
Runway 22R - 3L is 4,499 feet in length, 150 feet in width

120.55 CTAF 132.5 UNICOM
122.95 Approach: 133.35
NORDO Tower 353-2946
The tower's hours of operation are 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
Formation flying is up to the pilots involved. Please make sure that you are qualified and current if you decide to participate in this activity. The tower personnel are used to formation over-flights in the pattern.
An airspace waiver is not in effect, so please follow the rules and procedures contained in the Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR’s) and the Airman’s Information Manual (AIM). Check Notams.
The Spokane FSDO does not approve of "low approaches" even when approved by the tower. We have found touch-and-go's to be an acceptable alternative. Military style overhead approaches are acceptable to both ATC and the FSDO.
Maximum speed in the Class "D" airspace is 200 knots. Consult your chart for Class "C" airspace north, west, and south of Felts Field. Noise sensitive areas exist in the hills northwest through northeast of the field! Please fly safely and respectfully!
Thank you for your consideration in helping us to avoid accidents and close calls! Please keep an eye out for our aircraft parking volunteers. They are wearing brightly colored vests and are more than happy to assist in marshaling traffic, answering questions, ground handling of your aircraft, etc.
We ask you to please avoid firing up and pulling directly out of your parking spot. Please ask for assistance to push your airplane out into the aisle. Then fire up and be marshaled to the taxiway! Please keep in mind some of our attendees have tents!! Your parking location will be reserved and you may return to your original parking location.
Note: TIE DOWNS ARE REQUIRED. Please bring your own tie downs.
The easiest access to the airport is Fancher Avenue north to Rutter, then east to the southeast corner of the field (big Felts Field stone sign).
Street arrivals for the 2013 Fly-In require the correct access card to use the entry gate at the south-east corner of the field, near the intersection of Rutter and Dora. Prior arrangements must be made. You may also park at the terminal and walk in with access midfield.
Inside the gate, follow the roadway lines before the first east/west row of hangars, bear to your left, STOP at stop sign and flashing red light (taxiway crossing), proceed west until you see the left turn by the maintenance building for fly-in parking.
Spokane has great lodging available for you. All establishments listed are within 3 miles of Felts Field. Special rates have been negotiated at 4 hotels for your convenience. When booking, mention the Biplane Fly-In at Felts Field for the preferred rate. Please note that there are a limited number of preferred rate rooms available. Taxes will be added to all rates. If you'd care to venture further out, or if you desire something particular, just ask at our registration tent and we'll try to direct you.
